The Storm of War - Movie Trailer

The Storm of War

Well at last, here is a trailer from my new movie The Storm of War which will be completed and released in the very near future!

This movie is a million miles away from my recent Fictional Story type movies that are built up from a story board with a script and voice actors, this is more of a Documentry type movie that is a personal tribute to the Battle of Britain and was a permanent work in progress.

There will be an interesting mix of IL2 footage, real WW2 footage and footage from the 1969 movie Battle of Britain, i just hope that it all knits together ok in the final version.

Anyway, I hope you enjoy this short trailer and please let me know what you think in the UBI Movie Forum if you have time.

Nice integration of live-action video with game video, Monty. For a second, I thought you had game video in the foreground and live-action footage in the background on the ground attack shots, which would have been a neat trick. But the integration is still very nice.

The combat scenes capture the frenetic pace of air combat and provide a view that would be darn near impossible to capture without some sort of CG. I'm looking forward to seeing the finished film later this year. I know many filmmakers are waiting for the upcoming Battle of Britain game to be released before resuming their filmmaking interests, but it's obvious there is still a lot of potential left in the 'old' game engine.
